Microsoft to Acquire Activision Blizzard, the Call of Duty Publisher

Microsoft, in a surprise to everyone, has just acquired Activision, Blizzard, and King for an undisclosed sum. As of the official statement, all companies are set to operate independently until the transaction is finalized. After which, Phil Spencer, CEO of Microsoft Gaming will act as the time for all other companies.

With that said, Microsoft has also announced that games from Activision Blizzard will also be coming to both Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass amongst other future titles as well. Will this spark a new era for prowess in both companies?

Is World of Warcraft and Overwatch Coming to Xbox Game Pass?

As of yet, we still aren’t sure about what particular games will be coming to Xbox / PC’s Game Pass. However, we can anticipate that most major titles such as Call of Duty, Diablo, World of Warcraft, and Starcraft will be making appearances soon. This might also spark the end of the Blizzard launcher in favor of Microsoft’s own.
