The Peacekeeper Elite Championship (PEC) was announced back in August by Tencent Games. It is the second World Championship of “Peacekeeper Elite”, also known as “Game for Peace”. It’s a Chinese rebranded version of PUBG Mobile. Since PUBG Mobile World League season 0 wasn’t an offline / local event due to the COVID19 pandemic, the PEC 2020 is going to be one.

Top 15 teams from all over the world will be participating in a tournament having a huge prize pool. However, in August, only three teams were revealed but now most of them have been announced which you’ll see below.

Tournament Format and Date

  • Just like the 2019 tournament, the 2020 version might have the same format. If that’ll be the case, then we’ll be seeing the top teams battling it out in a squad TPP with 4 matches to be played for two days.
  • As for the dates, Tencent already announced in August that the PEC 2020 will be played from 13th to 15th of November.

Organizers and Sponsor

  • Tencent Games, PUBG Corporation, Lightspeed Quantum Studio along with VSPN will be the organizers of the 2nd edition of PEC.
  • On the other hand, Juss Sports is going to sponsor the whole tournament.

PEC 2020 Venue

Unlike PUBG Mobile World League Season 0, which was played online, the PEC 2020 is going to be a LAN (Local Area Network) event. The tournament will be played in Shanghai Oriental Sports Center in Shanghai, China.

Prize Pool

The prize pool of last year’s PEC was 429,646 USD, whereas, this time around, it’s way bigger. A hefty prize money of 1,770,962 USD is to be distributed among the teams this year.
