Daivo.FreeSlot, Divinity.Uprising, NRX Jeremiah 29:11 and DG Esports qualified for the playoffs, but only 1 came out on top after the final results. You don’t need to look any further, because we’ve got you covered with all the match details and results from the playoffs.
Playoffs Results
Following matches were scheduled after the group stage ended on day 5.
- 1st Semifinal: Daivo.FreeSlot (TH) vs DG Esports (ID)
- 2nd Semifinal: Divinity.Uprising (SG) vs NRX Jeremiah 29:11 (PH)
- Grand Final
Result of 1st Semifinal
When you talk about semifinals, you expect close games with the result going back & forth in any team’s favor. Well, this wasn’t the case here. The 1st semifinal was as one-sided as it can get. Daivo.FS decimated DG Esports as if it was nothing. It didn’t even look like a competitive match, the way Daivo went about things.
They won the hardpoint map, 150-23, the SnD map, 6-1 and the last domination map 150-51, winning the Bo5 series 3-nil. If this isn’t domination, then what is ? It looked like a piece of cake for Daivo.FreeSlot, as they went into the final without any sort of difficulty.
Result of 2nd Semifinal
We witnessed a clean sweep in the first semifinal, which was in itself a big surprise. But nobody was expecting another one, especially if you’re a DVT fan. However, after Daivo.FS literally destroyed DG, it was time for NRX to do the same with DVT. We had our second 3-nil in as many matches.
NRX had to work hard for the win, in the first hardpoint map. But they got the victory in the end by winning 150-138. 2nd SnD map wasn’t a hurdle at all, they won 6-1 to get a 2-0 lead over DVT. Last domination map saw the most dominant performance by NRX up till now. Not letting your opponent get even 50 points is a huge feat. NRX won 150-48, to complete the 3-nil and send DVT out of the competition.
The Grand Final
Daivo.FS up against NRX, No way it was going to be a 3-nil win for either side. It was the most competitive match of the entire qualifiers. We started with the first hardpoint map, which NRX won 150-113 with relative ease. 2nd SnD map, saw Daivo making a comeback to tie the series at 1-1. The third map went in NRX’s favor again, as they won the domination game 150-108.
Daivo again made a comeback to tie the series at 2-2 after winning the 4th hardpoint map 150-120. We went to the last SnD game, with World Championship finals spot on the line. NRX stepped up their game to their full potential and didn’t even let Daivo win a single round, as they won 6-nil to qualify for the finals of the World Championship.
The Garena Qualifiers sure were entertaining, now it’ll be Europe and NA who’ll be playing their qualifiers from 17th-18th and 24th-25 of October, respectively. They’ll be streamed live on the Call of Duty: Mobile official Youtube channel.
